Poche - Plan
The Poche drawings both section and plan both strongly portray the shadow directions coming in from the south of the building. I have expressed shadowing where walls oppose the sun from the south direction.
On the section the ramp is expressed with a darker tone but as it ascends up through the building the building the light conditions change. You have a gradually change of natural light as you continue up through the building. On the plan the ramp starts off very dark eventually progressing to lighter shade; here have focussed strongly on the ramp as it is an area representing constant movement as one circulates up and down the building.
Each of the Poche drawings high lights the terrace/courtyard to capture a large amount of sunlight in the Piano Nobile. Sunlight is strongly evident in the living room as opposed to the more private parts of the building where shadows flourish within the main bedrooms. Le Corbusier intended the living room space to continue into the terrace/courtyard, he has done this by large windows allowing light into the building. The usage of such glazing brings the indoors to the outside terrace. This is seen on both the Poche drawings.
